In the latest in our series of archived footage from the Dublin Straight Mile, German former middle and long-distance runner Thomas Wessinghage discusses how the 1983 Dublin Straight Mile race featured in his preparations for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
In this video, Thomas talks about how much he liked the one mile race series in his off season, the quality of the field he was amongst, and how like his competitors the focus at that time was all about preparing for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
