Announcing our post race festival entertainment - Hawke The Band

One thing that really differentiates the Griffith Avenue Mile event is the post race festival, during which we've enjoyed great entertainment and fun over the last few years.

It's therefore with great excitement to confirm that this year we will be joined by Hawke The Band as part of our post race entertainment.

Hawke The Band are an Irish indie rock/pop band who met and are based in London. Having just signed with Paragon Music Group, dual frontmen Richie Power and Eoghan Mac Mahon create, melancholic storylines with an anthemic sound.

If you'd like to check them out in advance of race day, they are playing Dublins Grand Social on Friday September 20th - tickets available here.

Since the release of their single ‘Miracles’, Hawke the Band have made their live TV debut on Sky Arts with ‘Christmas with Imelda May and Friends’ performing alongside icons such as Imelda May, Glen Hansard, Loah and John Sheahan of the Dubliners.

Their songs have played in sporting stadiums including Anfield, Harlequins and Croke Park. They’ve featured on radios across the UK and Ireland including BBC Introducing, RTÉ, iRadio and Today FM.

The band have supported major acts such as Imelda May and Aslan, including sold-out shows at Dublin's Iveagh Gardens, and they’ve toured their own shows throughout the UK/ Ireland, with high points including selling out Dublin’s famous Whelan’s venue within minutes of announcement.

HAWKE THE BAND are:

  • Eoghan Mac Mahon (Vocals/Guitar)
  • Richie Power (Vocals/Keys),
  • Conor Lyons (Bass)
  • Darragh McCarthy (Drums).
